I am a Rye mom and an early childhood educator with over 25 years teaching experience.
I hold a BA Hons from the University of Wales and a postgraduate teaching certificate from Cardiff Metropolitan University. I taught at the Uk’s largest special school for over 20 years where I was a senior manger with responsibility for the sensory curriculum. I have worked with every age range and with all additional learning needs including complex needs, ASD, physical disabilities, behavior problems and communication difficulties.
I taught at a Rye pre-school for over 2 years, where I honed my skills in play based learning and produced interesting and engaging themes that captivate and engage.
I have worked with over 100 families in Rye and the surrounding area and have references and testimonials that reflect the wonderful relationships I have established.
I am a proponent for the Science of Reading and enjoy developing fun and meaningful activities to support early literacy skills.
I am a Book Creator Ambassador, an Apple Certified Teacher, a Class Dojo Mentor and hold a best practice award for Story Massage. I can provide a police background check, CPR certification and public liability insurance.

Pick and Mix Enrichment. Bespoke learning pods at your home. Each pod is curated with you, to meet the needs and interest of your pre-school child and their friends. Each 4 week thematic unit could feature themes such as; dinosaurs, the water cycle, mini beasts, literary classics or famous artists. Each pod is tailored to the age of the children, linked to the NYS early education guidelines, is both fun and engaging! Minimum number of 3 children in a pod or ask about our exclusive 1:1 sessions.

Loose Parts Play Pod. Open ended materials that naturally allow children to develop authentic higher order thinking skills (analyze, evaluate and create). My role is to provide age appropriate loose parts, observe and collect information (which is documented for you), whilst scaffolding your child’s experiences to extend their learning and thinking.
Sensory Stories. Multi sensory early literacy activities that are based around a theme or special occasion.
Baby and adult sensory classes. Sing, dance and explore the big new world!
Facilitated Play Dates. Gentle supervision that ensures equality of opportunity for all children with positive and constructive behavior management strategies in place. It allows care givers to spend time socializing while ensuring their children are safe and engaged.
Sensory classes at the wonderful Wainwright House in Rye. This incredible building is the perfect backdrop for our youngest community members to come together with their special grown up. We sing, dance, read stories, learn ASL and have lots of fun!
